DRIVE Grant

The DRIVE Grant was established by the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA) in 2021 to support companies that have demonstrated a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and seek funds to promote trucking and transportation to underrepresented populations.

TIDA educates, defends, and advocates for the motor carrier industry. DRIVE grants will be awarded to organizations or individuals that directly or indirectly are aligned with the mission of TIDA.

Groups that actively support diversity and inclusion in the transportation arena will be considered. The criteria for the award include:

  • A group or organization seeking grant money to support educational, community service, or outreach programs or projects relating to transportation;
  • The proposed project or program must include a goal or objective focused on the elimination of bias or the promotion of diversity; and
  • The project or program should contain an educational component.

The nominated party should:

  • Be located in or near (or be willing to travel at their own expense) the venue of the Annual Seminar (2024 - Caribe Hilton, San Juan, PR)
  • Seeking grant money to promote trucking and transportation to underrepresented populations

All submissions are reviewed by the TIDA IDEA Committee and a recommendation will provided to the TIDA Board of Directors.

Nominations are open for 2024! The deadline to submit a nomination is Thursday, April 25, 2024.
